I've been tetchy and down on myself over the last couple of weeks, and this is about 50% of the reason why.
This is the beginnings of a game project I began work on in 2005, called "Amaru". It's a game heavily inspired and modelled on the original Strider, one of my favourite games of all time. Although the basic engine still has bugs and issues, I've managed to figure out some of the more important features, namely slopes and climbing up walls. I'm using Strider sprites as placeholders right now, but I'm going to be doing my own graphics as well.
The game's being made in Blitz Basic, also using the FastImage library. If everything goes well (and I don't get sued in the process) I would love to port it to platforms other than the PC.
@rocklee302 There will ideally be music, but I have no idea where it will come from. If all else fails I'll have to spend another year or so composing it.

@drewmaughan Smart move, you want to avoid any mess in getting caught up in copyright infringement. WIll you be using any sort of music in the game.
I want to personally thank you for changing your picture, i dont know what you changed it to but god anything but what you had before is welcome.
Cheers

@rocklee302 The music is from the arcade version of Strider. I won't be using any copyrighted material in the project, though.
