Should the Big Ten expand from 11 to 12 teams? Commissioner Jim Delany, the man who recruited Penn State as the 11th team in 1991, talks to Crain's Ed Sherman about the pros and cons of expansion.
@welkernas11 I see the Big Ten adding Pitt, Missouri, and Iowa State in the next phase, and waiting for Notre Dame to be their last member. I know people continue to mention Rutgers and Syracuse, but I think people fail to understand that the ACC is going to make a move into the Big East as well. While Rutgers would be a nice fit for the New York market, they really don't command alot of attention there, and I think Iowa State is more of a cultural and academic fit along with Pitt.
Dont invite Notre Dame. They have had plenty of chances and have declined. Missouri is the way to go for a twelve team conference. They are a perfect fit for the Big Ten
