Ahmadinejad is from Tabriz ...many IRGC's generals are Azari.... in fact, I.R.I is making Iranian speak Arabic not Persian .... BTW the only different that i see in Azaris and Persian are their language... they celebrate Nowroz(bairam?) , they are shitte, they have Zoroshtian roots(zoroshtian temples in Azerbijan), they are Iranian, their music instruments are the same .. they are just so close to be different...

canada is a new country, a country made by immigration with a short history. Totally not comparable to Iran. Most democratic of the countries give life sentences for treason, some of them even death penalty. Dividing a country belonging to its original inhabitants doesnt mean democracy, it means a failed state like ex-yugoslavia.

Why shouldn't we let the people of these regions to decide for themselves, like Quebec in Canada. They had 3 referendum but they (majority of Quebec people) reject the separation.

I am not an azeri, but democracy and human right says that they have to decide. I really love Azerbaijan and I do not believe that they are turks, but it is THEIR choice.
