I've never seen ECW operate anywhere near the speed shown in this video-the lag in doing anything in ECW is one of the biggest problems with this EMR.
And heaven forbid if you don't have a lab interface to ECW from all your local laboratories. Your only other option, as we must do , is SCAN all results into the EMR. The system doesn't, of course, recognize scanned results, so you have to go through scanned documents one by one to review labs. Reviewing labs takes forever in ECW.

Actually, since I made this video 3 years ago the speed is faster. This video was made at my home running eCW over a VPN. When in my office, it is essentially instantaneous.
I can only speculate from 2q4r5t's comment that they are running a cloud based version over a slow internet connection, or they have a misconfiguration of some kind.
Getting a lab interface is one of the BEST things about an EMR. It made reviewing labs faster, and better. If you don't have an interface, you need one.
