The title Jet Lagged is derived from the English term, Jet Lag - zone sickness. Fatigue and sleep disorder resulting from the disturbed biorhythm after speedy passage through several time zones. Traveling, movements within zones and different cultures became an essential stimulus in the creation of this project. London (0), Tokyo (+9) and New York (-5), three world metropolises, three time zones, three cultures, three new masks of anonymity but only one identical feeling. Does another time and another space really make any difference, or are we just Jet Lagged?

Recurrent empty streets, advertising spaces, identical hotel rooms and anonymous characters whose identity is concealed by a mask which only marginally refer to the actual site. The atmosphere of emptiness of the big city and of humans and their mutual anonymity creates a fixed connection between individual metropolises and is questioning the significance of ideals, genders and morals in the modern world. What is the point of looking up to ideals, such as Charles and Diana, knowing the gender of Pikachu, or tasting Magritte's morality bite of the Big Apple?

Photographic images taken by Dusan Kochol are complimented by a collection of porcelain objects by Simona Janisova. Clocks identically but contrarily measuring time in different time zones, where the story takes place, in London, Tokyo and New York. The combination of two different forms of art; visual and applied, using both photography and ceramics, based on one idea, vision and content. The outcome is an integrated globally comprehensive multimedia testimony.
