I am so sad I was just 1 year old when this happened. When I started to have a real intrest in gymnastics, I remembered all those things I heard about the magnificent seven and about the 1996 Olympics. When we had injuries in workout and we would complain, my coach would say "Kerri Strug vaulted on an olmost broken ankle!", so I dicided to go see what really happened, that night. I watched the whole competition on youtube and, at the end, I was like " WOW! What a team!"
The magnificent seven made history at the 1996 olympics, in Atlanta and in this montage, you will see the best part of their routines (Jaycie Phelps, Amanda Borden, Amy Chow, Dominique Dawes, Shannon Miller, Dominique Moceanu and Kerri Strug).

The Magnificent Seven was the reason why I did gymnastics. I have always wanted to be like them even to this day. Just wish I could have made it that far.:(

They were the gymnastics dream team! I was 14 when this happened, and I remember that summer very well. My friend and I watched the gymnastics competitions every night, and believe it or not, the one night I fell asleep was the night that everything went down with Kerri Strug and they won the gold. I was SO mad at myself! Such a great moment in Olympic history though :) I still have the Atlanta's Magnificent Seven highlight movie on VHS!

i was 10 when they won gold.I watched in total awe and facination when these ladies made history.I was a basketball player and I told my mom I wanted to stop and sign up for gymnastics.She told em I was too old to start gymnastics so I stuck with basketball and swimmimng.
