  • The show is vapid in the typical "reality" genre. The assumption is the paleolithic human lived in skins. They forget the temperate zones where it is warm year round and fruit is abundant. They kill an elk just to see if they can. A self professed "bow hunter" is emotionally effected now when he has been killing in one of the most brutal ways for years?

  • MP's for the Win, Courtney.

  • Rob shows up on the drug one as a cocaine user!

  • Billy could punch an elk and it would kill it Billy brought me here.

  • @account99 actually plenty of survival shows have non-whites. and this show did have 2 African Americans. The whole point of reality tv is to be entertaining, so having people who know how to live off the land would be less interesting than watching a guy try to drop a rock on a swimming muskrat.

  • I just saw this show last night and loved it. But they make the women and the "layabouts" look lazy. But in real life these women would know a hundred sources of food and where to find them. They would not be idle at all, and would be combing the woods and pastures continually gathering seeds, lichens, nuts, roots, greens, insects. But they don't have a guidebook to help them do what a real cavewoman (arrgh!) would be doing from earliest childhood.

  • Oh my god!....the 'B' Ark has landed!

  • @account99 eh, cavemans were all european.

  • @account99 And who are you? The great curator of all knowledge? You do seem full of yourself. Are you the one who decides which of the worlds cultures are the best? I go to your channel and yet I still know nothing about you. Where do you live, what country? Are you from a western country or not? And please do tell us all about these multitudes of cultures throughout the world where they incorporate these skills that the caveman used? Tell me that they do not use things of the modern world.

  • It just occured to me about these survival shows; there are never any asians, hispanics and so on. Why is that? Worried they'd undermine the show by making it look easy? And what is it with westerners thinking that if they can't do it, no one can? The rest of the world isn't as pampered as westerners. In fact, most if not all non-westerners still incorporate skills that westerners apparently consider extinct and no longer used. Hell, it's everyday shit for them.
