When we were kids, grown-ups used to warn us that "electricity and water don't mix." But it always seemed like the issue was that actually, electricity and water mix extremely well, just not with results that are likely to be good for nearby humans. Or for that radio those grown-ups were worried you were about to drop in the lake.
In the future, though, you'll be able to drop ALL your personal electronics in lakes, with no ill effects at all! And that future begins now, at CES 2012.

I spent 7 years in the US NAVY on submarines I spent ofer 5 years of my life under water and yes the MER People do exist . They are waiting till global warming floods more of the earth then they will take over.

yeah but if you had the g zone line of phones or any of the tens of waterproof digital camera there have been in the last 5 years you would need any this crap. lack of water proof electronics isn't technologically advanced its lack of laziness. they could have been doing it and just chose to opt out.
