While it took major balls to do what Yuri did, I'd rather admire all the engineers who built Vostok and made it possible. True pioneers.

Yeah, good, although if something had gone wrong...the Russians would have had the totalitarian secrecy and ruthlessly denied he ever existed.
We saw the Americans land on the Moon and read the Book of Genesis, but we were never allowed to hear the Russians like Gagarin look out and say, "Huh, no God around here!" to the general laughter of the ground-crew! I'd like to see footage of that, and subtitles, if you've got it!
