Pete Townshend and The Deep End - Save It For Later
11. song of the greatest concert ever!

This video is recorded from a Laserdisc which should be the highest quality source currently availabe. Unfortunately, there is no DVD :( Just second hand VHS or Laserdiscs.

If you like it, go and buy a CD - it's called Pete Townshend's Deep End Live!
It does not contain all song from this concert, only 12 of them (be careful to buy the version with 2 bonus tracks).

(C) Copyright Eel Pie and Atlantic video.
I hope the guys from Atlantic will die in pain for not releasing a DVD.

  • @4:57 "Tim Saunders , lovely saxophone sir" !

  • Memories.... Thank You, I had this on VHS back... I think this came out either 84/86, so not long after it was released. A concert played over and over and you tell me the DVD doesn't have all of it? You'd thought there'd be extra that didn't make the VHS cut, how slack, Come On Pete, 5.1 Re-Mix heheh! Thanks for the share, it's great to see and hear again, cheers ;)

  • i've always felt that pete's vocals are better than daltrey's.

  • @jrushmen Black Air , Seven Seas , and Rotten Through , You would have one the prize ! Great song rendition ! The Sax melts me !

  • The answer to Pete's question is that this song is about saving the planet so that we can "Save it for Later" Dave Wakeling was and still is a major activist for Green Peace.

  • Yes! Pete great interpretation this theme and fantastic songwriter.

  • I can't decide which version I like more

  • @saucyjack1968 check out the interview with Dave Wakeling talking about Pete and Gilmour working the tuning out. it is awesome!
