AMX was Fastest 1/4mi in '69! Available options for the AMX in 1969 included 390cid stroker AMC (with 390 forged crank was standard, on 343 optional), Doug Thorley Headers, Edelbrock 2x4bbl cross ram lowrise intake, 4speed trans, (727auto came standard), 5.11 posi (AMC20 bulletproof rearend), Go Pac (first {optional} traction control system, positions axle with rudimentory 4 link).

My 69AMX 390auto awaits restoration, also am seeking 390block.

@koioo2 , AMC Eagle first 4wd suvs, 1981-87! Sold; 4 door, wagon, SX/4 (2door hatchback), and even a Gremlinesque "Kammback" ! Same ifs 4x4 6cyl platform became the Jeep cherokee's of 88-94 under chrysler ownership in late 1987.
