Agree with you, I think from what i've seen there are literally only a handful of people on youTube so far that can pull that off-signing a song truly to match ASL plus like you said showing signs of music. Of course there are people that are signing in english lots and some that do in ASL, but..there's a few special ones out there that are amazing.. however it's true, even those amazing ones some deaf don't like..just depends on the song and the person...

I agree with two other comments by Ally. It depends on each person. I'm deaf. I enjoy music. I know some of my deaf friends don't care for music at all & show NO interest, some even AGAINST it.

being someone who interprets music on YouTube, i have received many comments from Deaf and hearing people who enjoy watching the interpretations.
so, i really dont think there is a right or wrong answer.
each person is different, regardless of their hearing status.

i think that it depends on the person.
just like every hearing person has their own likes and dislikes about things they watch, same goes for the Deaf.
for instance, my hearing boyfriend loves war flicks, i am hearing, however, and i hate war flicks. same goes for Deaf, i believe.
if they like to watch interpreted music, then they do.. if they dont, then they dont.
it just depends on their taste.
I apprec. when a person translates the song into signing & still show signs of music. I know - not easy to do. But he/she must be clear & explain the true meaning of the song. If the person who translate a song in sign doesn't do a good job, then no one will enjoy it. Same idea as a hearing person sing badly/off-key. Would you enjoy it? Probably not? It's important for signer to sign clear meaning of the song in ASL than signing word for word in English. Hope my few cents helps?
