Really nice! Rich vibrato. Thanks
-
Is that a violin or a viola? I only ask because that's the same key I learned it in on my viola.

That's the best way to learn this music. It might take longer, but in the end you'll play the piece better and memorize it more easily. After all, why learn a piece if you're just going to forget it later. You must have a great teacher.

Do you prefer arm vibrato or wrist vibrato?

I don't know which I prefer. I think my own vibrato is a combination of the two. The most important thing with vibrato is to vibrate in a way that allows the finger tip to roll back and forth smoothly. The knuckle closest to the fingertip should go through a full range of motion without locking or snapping. Ultimately, vibrato is an oscillation of the pitch by rapidly shortening and lengthening the vibrating part of the string. Any arm and/or wrist movement should serve this purpose.
