( http://mikemuonline.com/vbdma1 ) Sony's first standalone multi-function Blu-ray recorder transfers your HD camcorder footage in full HD to recordable Blu-ray discs.

Available here: http://amzn.to/pw50oy

First look with some Q&A and extensive demonstration of the menu and features.
LP mode is actually 2 hours and 5 minutes up to 3 hours and 15 minutes for single sided DVD media.

  • this supposed to be a blue ray recorder !!! Why mentioned about dvd crap... You failed to mention how many hours we going to get for a 25gig BD ... You're a terrible reviewer !!!

  • @bbcake001 Its because how many hours you get depends on your camcorder. You do not get to select that on the recorder... all it does is transfer what you recorded from your camcorder to disc... The only transcoding it does is for DVDs which are relatively fixed hours.

  • Just wanted to point out that its now on sale for $200 this holiday. May be temporary price drop so if you want one, now is the time. Link in the video description. Happy Holidays!

  • My regular dvd recorder broke, and i used it to record ps3 gameplay , Now i bought the VBD-MA1 but i can't record ps3 gameplay with this new one :/

what other dvd recorder should i use?

    Thanx

  • @VITTIshortvideos I'm guessing you'll need a passthrough so that you can record and play at the same time. How about a set-top box regular DVD recorder? There are other popular HD recording systems that you use in conjunction with your computer if you want to go that route - Avermedia has one that's pretty popular and goes through USB. It's about $150 or so.

  • @moophoto Hi Im really glad you made this video, i was thinking of purchasing this unit as well. My real question is, how were you able to post a 26 min 1080p video up to you tube? I dont know if your willing to share that or not but if you could atleast point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it! Thank You.

  • @ssc1212 Hey, thanks for the comment. Youtube removed restrictions on video length and size uploads for me a while back. I think it's true for most people (15 minute limit was removed) as long as you upload original content. But the real question is, who has stuff worthy of keeping people's attention longer than the standard 10-15 minutes? I think if you can produce your own videos that's worthy you'll be on the right track.

  • @bbcake001 He clearly shows @14:46 you get 2 hours 20 minutes HD FX mode or 3 hours 10 minutes HD FH mode on a 25 GB Blu-ray disc!

You need to WATCH the video before commenting—otherwise you just sound foolish!

  • @moophoto

    Thanx! i'll look it up

  • @Maverick1701A For that specific purpose, you are better off just buying a normal Blu-Ray burner connected to your PC. This will function the same way and you will not benefit from any of the additional features or capabilities.
