BlueTEC clean diesel technology is the state of the art for all 50 states. The 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 delivers 240 hp, a massive 455 lb-ft of torque, and acceleration on par with many gasoline V-8s. Mercedes-Benz, pioneer of the original diesel car, has reinvented it without the noise, odor and emissions of old. By injecting a solution called AdBlue® into the exhaust, BlueTEC reduces smog-causing NOx to harmless nitrogen and water vapor. And with better highway mpg than some 4-cylinders and hybrids, if offers a cruising range of over 700 miles. 31mpg Hwy.

  • great ipad u have

  • that is so cheap!!! over in australia we have to pay $200,000 for the same car.....

  • @IvyLeagueCars

Please read my entry to Ivan and tell me your thoughts.

  • @ivanw92

    Interesting.

I was just in Japan and China (from US) and I noticed that the prices were very high too.

My first thought was that this was a result of the USD being down.

My choice recently has been the S550.

Do you like this S350 more than the S550?

By June I'll be in one or the other of these 2012's

  • Damn thats USD101,000 in Australia for the same car it costs $228,000 which is USD232,560. We get taxed a shit load here in Australia -.-

  • @JET997u

Well, Im just saying this based on cars like the 7 series, A8, XJ, etc prices. Personally I wouldnt any of them over a S class, but Im just saying...

  • @jwatwater Why should it be $75K? No S Class in the US is that cheap, and hasn't been in well over a decade. 4Matic is standard in this car; that alone is a $2,500 option on the S550. And it's a highly advanced, entirely clean diesel. Worth every penny.

  • This car, with the diesel, is simply the best car in the world.
