Alfa Pendular, Portugal´s speed train

Impressions from meeting a couple of Alfa Pendulars at Entroncamento and Santa Apolônia stations. The decorations on the coaches are taken from the film by Manuel do Oliveira, "Aniki Böbó" from 1942. This was a film mainly with children from the directors neighbourhood as actors, and it took 21 years before Oliveira made another film. As the film, and the story behind it, is almost forgotten, the decorations on the train give the authors and their work a second life. ( Wikipedia )
