Just a little nostalgia. If you had a parakeet as a pet in the 70's, you may have owned one of these records.

  • Parakeet s dont have much meat on them, not very good for a dinner party.

  • LOL... Is it just me or does the voice towards the end of the record that is supposedly a parakeet sound like a human?

  • wordZ!!!!! lol

  • That's funny.....I had this exact record,,,

  • No, I err,

    This I have as a 78rp.

  • I have this as a green-labeled 45 rp. I was only interested in playing the first and last band of side 1 and the last band of side 2. Of course "Now hear how a real parakeet should sound !" implied that my now long-deceased parakeet was not real ; he never learned to speak. Just yell, bite, and give alarm calls if the cat came near. No, the cat tried but never got him !

  • Hartz Mountain originally issued this record as a "78", as far back as the late '40s.

  • The parakeet at the end of the record must maintain a distance of 50-feet from young children.

  • These FILTHY RAT JEWS caused the closing of a low cost health club in Secaucus after it had been open for 26 years.

  • Thanks for posting this! I was just doing my "Parakeet Training Record" impersonation and my daughter was howling, thinking I was goofing around. I told her that it was an almost exact impersonation of the "parakeet" at the end of the record we used to have. And then I found this post about 10 seconds after, and she split a gut. I've never forgotten this ridiculous record. Not sure why we even had it, as we didn't have a parakeet. Anyway, a 'Goo-od Morn-ing, wanna eat!" to you for posting it!

  • yea i have CD's that have music cats like on them and they think cats like piano music,

my cats like van halen and megadeth
