Very nice, I wish it was in stereo.

@AledTreble If my memory serves me right, this is a John Rutter arrangement.

@PK292TSM I'm singing this in my choir at school! It's beautiful.

great!

NONO. wrong, sounds like he is singing the descant as the main melody.

i agree with GreatSongwriters. good singing, but at the same time (i don't mean to toot my own horn), when i was in highschool my choir sang another version which i thought was much better than this. my own opinion anyways

You mean at the beginning of the 20th century! Rossetti wrote the text as a poem before 1872 but it was not published until 1904, after her death. Holst's setting is from 1906 but many composers set it around then and since, with Darke's being the most performed now and his version being voted the best carol of all in a poll of choral experts in 2008.

This is beautiful. Actually I know of this version first before the Holst's version. Still, I liek this better.
Don't want to sound overly sentimental and PauliAnna-ish, but if we encourage kids in school to participate music group like this, we would solve most of the problems in the world.
I understand few achieve this kind of stunning, heavenly beauty with their singing, but God, this is what we need.

I think it is the correct tune, just a slightly different arrangement to what you are possibly used to..
