YAY !!! Hoooray for Grizzly Lake !!! -----> I hiked in there from China Spring last Labor Day 2007 ----> solo ---> hadnt been up there since 1978 ----> just like I remembered it , HEAVEN !!! ----> I think when you die , you go to GRIZZLY LAKE !! ------> I didnt have time to scale Thompson , and that was my goal , and then the fires of 2008 shut me out ------> bummer -----> but I'll be on top of Thompson in 2009 !!!!!!! after 30 years of looking at it from below ---> canyon creek , grizzly , etc

grizzly is sweet... You should shoot the ridge to mirror lake from there then take the mirror ledge to kalmia.. then east side of sawtooth to smith... The ultimate Alps route.

You know where Grizzly is at, I am impressed! Yes, that area is awesome, I fell in love with it the moment I arrived:-) The fires have kept us at bay lately, but not for long. Thanks for the comment.
