While the visual style has a lot of similarities with Cave Story, the gameplay really stood out as different. Far more fast-paced and dynamic with all the timed fuses and such.
I liked it a lot.

Even the music in that rap thing is a remix of a Cave Story melody.

The graphical style is veeeeery similar to Cave Story. Even the way the levels are built up, how different areas look, the animations and even the characters.
I mean that Rhino looks a lot like the Elephant in cave story.
And yeah, at 1:24 he is definitely wearing Quote's hat.
