And that "fine line" is easily straddled or crossed. I don't hold John Lennon in the same regard as I did Johnny. Ultimately it's of little consequence, however, and we all have our issues, don't we? (Again...pedestals)

Nobody cares. There's a fine line you draw when it comes to celebrities and their personal lives. Do you hate John Lennon any more because of his infidelities and mistreatment of his family? No, because he was a great musician and an ambassador for peace.

Johnny was the king of late night and there'll never be anyone like him but, unfortunately, his personal life was less admirable. According to a PBS special that aired last night, his well-known 4 marriages and divorces were caused by his constant infidelity. He also had 3 sons that he basically ignored. This saddens me a little and reminds me to be careful of putting people on pedestals. GREAT as a TV personality on-stage...not so great off-stage. ♥ the performer, disappointed about the rest!
