My cover of Bob Dylans "My Back Pages", not the Byrds version, the vocals aren't spot on, but I'm still working on it

  • Samuel, beautiful song. Please, can you tell me the strumming, for example DUXD... etc.

I want to practice this song.

  • It's in 3/4 time, start on C, then Am, then Em, F, G, the song is cyclical and only changes on the fourth line of the song. You should be able to play along with it. Strumming pattern is D DUD; I think thats all

  • Samuel,

Please tell me if is it correct

    (C)d-.du.d-(Am)d-.du.d-(Em)d-.du.d-(F)d-.du.d-.

Please don't stop to write to me. My back pages liked very much to me, is beautiful

I have to use . and " because you tube says You use an URL

  • yes, I believe that is correct. You shouldn't have anyproblems with it now.

Just trying to get it right ... ...

    Oh this time

SO MUCH THANKS Samuel. (D=Down U=Up)

  • Ah man you're all into the "set in stone" timings. Just do it how it feels, let it come to you. I Believe the chorus chording is a bit different, but you did a good job.

  • In learning this song, I've learned to be careful which version you listen to, as they are played a bit differently. Dylan's is in 3/4 time, and the Byrds version (which I actually prefer) is in 4/4. Good job on your cover, Samuel!

  • (Excuse my poor English)

    Samuel,

    A very beutiful song.

Do you have an electronic address? I want to send you a video.

    Thanks

  • The nice thing about covering Dylan songs is that your vocals don't have to be spot-on. In fact, it'd sound weird if they were, since his are so all-over-the-map.

  • Thanks, I'll practice.

  • Samuel,

Please tell me if is it OK, the meaning of 3/4 times. C Am Em F

    /d /du/d / /d /du/d / /d /du/d / /d /du/d /

    Is it correct?

    Thanks, thanks, thanks ....

(Excuse my poor English, I want to express much politely my thankful o You, but I can't)

The only song I play very good is Dead Flowers, because You teach me to play that.
