Brendan Ryan - 2002 Alaska Goldpanners

Brendan Ryan, 2002 champion Goldpanners shortstop, is now an infielder for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Take a look at Brendan when he was with the Panners. A guy who never stops moving, check out his hustle on the field.. on EVERY pitch.

He suffered two big injuries during the season, including a broken collarbone. The second part of the clip shows Brendan in a sling after that injury.

One of the craziest ballplayers ever, Brendan, after a Cardinals game last week (7/12/8), said that his time with the Goldpanners was "probably up there at the top" of his baseball experiences.

The segment closes with his impersonation of his Goldpanners/Lewis-Clark State head coach Ed Cheff.
