BILL MCINTURFF: I think what were saying is directionally heres whats happening, this race is getting very close, we believe the race is close and we believe John McCain has a chance to win theres a certain structure to American politics, and that structure is whats the party identification of those people who go and vote and are gonna vote in this Tuesday election. Now, your viewers are probably pretty confused because theres some polls showing McCain ten, twelve, sixteen points behind. And there are other polls showing the race within 3 or 4 points. The polls that show McCain way behind share this in common. They have party identification, are you a republican or Democrat and theyre showing Democrat margins as high as 15 points. Thats a joke. There has not been an election since 1984 where theres been more than a four or five point gap between Republican and Democrats amongst likely voters and if that happens, and when that happens again, this race becomes a very, very tight campaign on Tuesday.

Absolutely were gonna see record levels of African American turnout I really do believe were gonna see a higher turnout amongst people 18-29 years old. But heres what else were going to see. Were going to see the most people, I believe, voting in American history. I believe were at 130 million plus and when that happens, all the models, all the stuff about how we know what percent people make up the electorate go out the window because were watching the kind of turnout weve not seen since 1968 and 1960. And when that happens were gonna get a downscale, less well educated rural older white voter that I believe is gonna vote and break towards John McCain.

I think its a fabulously close election.
