  • Yes the leaves are edible. I cook them down like collard greens.

  • Why would someone give me a thumps down on a video about my awesome veggies :P whatever haha

  • I read that if you plant them in firm soil and make sure the roots are kept firm, the sprouts will be tight. I'm just starting out with my seedlings so we shall see-if the survive the caterpillars and slugs who seem to love them!

  • @supernaturalbc2009 Good luck with your sprouts :) and thank you for the tip on the roots. I'd use a natural soap spray on them if you are trying to stay Organic.

  • I don't remember when I planted them. I should keep a log so I keep on the mark each year. Growing B-Spouts for the first time was interesting. Next year I will not wait for the tops and I will cut from the bottom up as they grow. My spouts never got as tight or as big as the one's you see in the store but man were they tasty! The leaves also were amazing to cook with like collard greens. I can't wait to grow them next season. Thanks BCgarden

  • @shanniepix they must be racist towards greens.... >_< hehe

  • @shanniepix it was probably one of those veggi-haters hating on the brusslesprouts!!

  • Slugs and snails hate ashes. Try sprinkling some ashes under your plants.

  • Are the leaf edible?

  • Your brussel sprout plants are things of beauty! I may try growing some next year. Thank you for the inspiration!!!

  • Next crop cut off the top to make tighter buds/sprouts. I would nip 4 months into their grow and don't let them go to long.

  • you shoulda cut it a while ago when it started. just eat the top if youre worried about wasting or feel bad cutting it every part of the plant above ground is edible.

  • boilem for days?
