This is Chris Botti and a London session Orchestra playing Silent Night, during a recording session at Air Studios in London. I shot the movie for Sony, but edited this chunk myself for fun. Apologies to Sony if you mind.
can someone else find another chris botti video playing christmas carols for 'DECEMBER' album? i love this album and memorable. without this album i had never chance to have a personal close encounter with chris botti.
Silent Night has to be one of the best peices of music of all time. I assume this is the recording sessions for his December CD ?
If it is, then I emotionally melted within seconds. Such a fantastic re-working. Such a fantastic CD. I saw Chris at Ronnie Scotts this year, damn, it was .. it was.. I cant describe how good it was.
Botti used to play a large bore "regular" Martin Committee...like what Miles played on. A few years ago he switched to an older Martin Committee.....and that's what he currently plays/records on. It's a 1943 Committee...before Martin redesigned it with the famous "trombone" style water keys. Hope this helps!!
Thanks for posting this! You can't get much better than Chris Botti playing in Air Studios!!! I believe he recorded his "When I fall in Love" cd here....but I could be wrong...

And I'm making sure I'm not one of them. Try not to use the excuse that I don't have time or money. Just do it.
In fact I was gonna turn a blind eye to the chance. But knew that after that concert I'd be kicking myself in the head. Shit I'm going! No regrets
