@GreekMythologyWeirdo actually theres no way to tell what happend to her ive read many thigns about greek myhtology but it always not accurate, medusa was cursed for being prettier than aphrodite, sleeping with poseidon in athena's temple, or even trying the gods. theres many things that tell her story but i dotn know what to believe about it

@madpeacegirl As previously said before, there are many MANY versions of Greek myths. What I am clearly stating is, don't follow Hollywood films that have these characters in their movies. They change a lot about the characters and stories to make the movie shorter and more entertaining. My first comment here is just me telling people what I'VE learned about Medusa.

@seattlegirl14 There's many many versions of these stories when it comes to Greek Mythology. I can believe either version. Though, it still wasn't uncommon for the gods to trick or rape mortal women. But that's just what I've learned! :)

Sweethearts, you all have it wrong, don't let Percy Jackson determine the facts of the actual stories. Medusa was gorgeous but could not marry anyone because she was a priestess for Athena, Poseidon was overcome by lust for her, he raped her in the temple of Athena, and Athena punished Medusa instead and made her become a Gorgon so she would live in self confinement.
