Free markets create the most prosperity and equality. Departures from free markets, such as our corporatist system, will lead to businesses cycles and wealth gaps. Free markets are the answer, not the problem.

AS much as I like Ron Paul, he is wrong to support capitalism. Capitalism naturally leads to wealth division and monopoly, as the more money (capital) you have the more money you can make; this is the very essense of capitalism. Reuglation in itself isn't wrong, but I agree we have had the wrong kind of regulation, as it has been done with the wrong intentions.

Ron, Capitalism is not the problem , corporatism is in that has taken the capitalism away from the independent people that America was built on
and unionized and corporatist over seas products - Who works on the docks
when the ships come in. Take a closer look there is nothing wrong with capital
there is something wrong with Corp and Union instead of independence.
there are those that are going to blame this freefall on the free market, but this is not free market capitalism, it hasnt been for nearly 100 yrs!....this is corporate cronyism, corporatism, FASCISM!...FRAUD!....they will attempt to blame their sins on the same system which they fear will correct their transgressions!

@NathanZackery You don't understand the significant dangers of your own mentality. Capitalism is a mechanism of liberty. You can't disrupt it without using force. Monopoly can't function in a free market system, it requires corporatism. Wealth divisions are an expression of freedom but the only economic model which increases wealth is Capitalism. The only function of government should be to maintain liberty. Any regulation which exceeds that is force. Your final sentence is the most dangerous.
