Monsoonal downpour 10Jan2011.wmv

Just like most other places along the Queensland coast we had a massive downpour 10January 2011. This was the early stages of it as later it got too heavy & windy to have the camera outside. The rain never let up most of the day. Luckily I am high here but of course not dry at this time. ;-)

The tanks are full & the downpipes just spewed water all over the tanks in a great bow wave.

My meandering little perenial creek ran well & I had a good paddle & a bit of a surf down it. It is usually a grassy hollow that the horses keep nicely trimmed into lawn. So flying over that lawn dragged along by cool clean gushing rainwater was a real buzz like a water park ride!
