I'm paying for my college and dont have a lot to spend but my laptop is a piece and I really want to get into macs and was wondering on a tight budget if the mini would do everything I needed it to do. Mostly school but I do a lot of media (music and video). Would you recommend the mini?

It's compatible with EVERY monitor. In fact, you can go ahead and use all your stuff that came with your PC (minus the PC itself) to run the mac mini.

yes my mac mini have 2 gb ram but with 512 can make this but the speed is more slow.
