Fran Lebowitz remembers her first experience of censorship - the library wouldn't let her check out a book from the adult section. At the NCAC event with Toni Morrison.

  • Interesting but I think there are some books that one should not read. And I do not think that making sure one has her parents permission to read what has been deemed as adult books is wrong. That is unless those books should not be just adult books.

  • @tomthefunky

you are so very right my nigga

i work with a physical therapist an Egyptian...a cool guy....and he tells me what a difference it is in america...he says that in america if you are nice to women then they see this as a sign of weakness and then proceed to bury the man, drive him into the ground

but he tells me that in egypt the women treat men with respect...as it should be

a woman can kill a man in america without a gun or knife...armed with a lawyer she can legally "kill" him

  • @ChiroQuacker: You gotsta keep the bitch's in line, my brother. Just the other day I was in a 7/11 and some chick got served before I did just because she was in line in front of me. Can you believe that shit! Say what you want about those niggas over in that middle east but they keep their bitches in line.

  • @backoffimflammable

dont tell me what to do b#tch..i dont take sh#t from you b#tches...me and my niggas keep our womens in line...

  • @ChiroQuacker Hm. Your preference in sexual partners is quite interesting and diverse. Kudos to you for exploring the many options this world has to offer.

  • @whatsupfizznugget

she is super smart...incredibly clever and funny...

she is special and i love listening to her riff on day to day life, etc.

and i actually would bone her...just cause i'd have a great story to tell

i once boned a midget chick...who do you know who has boned a midget? nobody

    me neither...

i have gotten a lot of mileage out of that yarn for years...

and before you ask...NO...her vagina was NOT midget in size

too bad....i probably would still be "dating" her....

  • @ChiroQuacker Haha, you act as though her fashion sense is a contributing factor to the content of her character. So what if she's not trendy? She's a great author and a smart woman. The alan greenspan comment made me laugh though. :)

  • @whatsupfizznugget

well...there goes the "credibility" of vanity fair's supposed "best dressed list"...

like i said...why does someone who pontificates that fashion is a bore...bother coloring their hair?

...dont make any difference deary...she still looks like alan greenspan with tits.

  • @ChiroQuacker She's been mentioned in Vanity Fair's best dressed list....and her fashion sense is less "I just don't give a shit anymore" and more, "I just don't give a shit about what other people think of my fashion sense" And, yes, coloring your hair is a HUGE indicator of being a narcissistic egomaniac. -__-

  • How can FL bear someone as banal as TM?
