A demonstration of Eastern European Knitting, k1 p1 rib. Please note, this is not continental knitting, as here we enter through the back of the loop in both the knit and purl stitch. The resulting fabric appears exactly the same as both English and Continental knitting styles.
Great thing to love about ribbing using this method is that the yarn is held at the back of the work the whole time.

@pegschr - I've been knitting Eastern European style for a year and never have a problem with twisted stitches. I knit rib and fisherman's rib with no problems. I just can't do the 'magic loop' method of knitting.

this truely is a SPEEDY way to rib stitch, no finger movement at all. I can knit circles around everyone with this method. Although sometimes my stitches look twisted???
