Ben Carroll: Artist with Autism, FOX-61 interview by Narmeen Chaudhury

http://www.artbybencarroll.com/artwork.html Ben Carroll was born in Bulgaria, in July of 1994. He was placed in an orphanage and basically neglected. He was adopted at 18 months old by Manchester, Connecticut family, Ed and Laura-Lee Carroll. As a child diagnosed with autism, Ben's journey involved years of speech therapy, occupational therapy, and home schooling. Amidst the special needs that Ben had, though, he began exhibiting some special talent as well. Ben loved to paint, and draw, and was clearly talented. In 2004, Ben had his first art show, and a star was born. Ben currently attends The Intensive Education Academy in West Hartford and is healing more and more each year. We hope Ben's story will be an inspiration to everyone. Never give up...with love and prayers, anything is possible!
