@karosh9 yeh.. even today they are fighting against drug dealers and thugs. Sadly due to mad political influence i'm worried this unit will be totally politicized and disband if they didn't allow political interference.

@eranjenes how the hell FBI jumped into this? BIT it self is not an elite unit or in other terms armed special tactical unit.

man my dad was in the SL army. what a tough job it is. i was a kid back then and I remember he opening his briefcase and letting me touch his weapon. I think it was a AK47. but man, this is really hard and dangerous

On a second though, it could be used for equatorial jungles but the STF is a home based force that will use a camo best suited for their environment.

Russian Jungle Camo isn't meant for the thick equatorial Jungles of Sri Lanka.

SAS, STF, SWAT,FBI all r elite and in the same group. so as sri lankans we r proud that being an awfully small country in the world we have a formiddable, well-trained, heavily armed elite force who stand shoulder to shoulder with our counterparts such as the SAS which we have a long and good relationship with. to be honest i never imagine STF to be this good. hats off for u guys!!!
