WOW. Fucking hypocrites. When Russell stopped by a few months later they KISSED HIS ASS. They especially downplayed the prank calls.

Why do the English get so worked up when someone says one of their entertainers aren't that good? The prank calls were edgy for the sake of being edgy; calling up some old guy and just yelling I FUCKED YOUR GRANDAUGHTER isn't comedy gold no matter which side of the pond your on. Russell Brand just isn't the genius people make him out to be. There are plenty of hilarious limeys, but he isn't one of them.

I love Russell Brand fans whose only defense of him is "THESE GUYS WERE NICE TO HIM IN STUDIO" as if Brand didn't meet and kiss the asses of all the celebrities he's made fun of. In the case of the VMAs he probably met some of them that night.

they sound like a bunch of jealous comedians acting like bitchy high school girls -- jealous that the popular pretty girl is getting all the attention. i like opi & anthony &Louis C.K. is brilliant but I also like Russell. And when Russ goes on their show they praise him and change their tune - that's hypocritical and phoney. At least you know what your getting with Russell. and he doesn't go around bashing others to feel all superior. if anything this made them loose some credibility.
