Younger people are more in contact with blockbusters and games than films liek this, it's just the way it is. We should be glad some of them can lead to greater things. I discovered the book (have yet to read it) and the movie thanks to the game, and the game isn't shit. Your insult to a game with a unique atmosphere that's almost entirely absent from western movies, games and TV is really uncalled for. It's even ironic, considering Tarkovsky fans act like they're mature and in higher ground.

I remmeber when the film came. I've always liked his films. I am a gamer, and I just loved the fact that there was a game about a zone. Both the film and the game is just epic.

It's the same for me, except for the book. If I had not found the game, I never heard of Tarkovsky's Stalker and the universe. at first I thought that the film looks like the game, but when I saw it, I said: -WOW! this is truly amazing. Remembers me of kubrick's films, but much deeper-. Tarkovskij now is one of my favorite directors. from italy
