  • HI KC7FYS, the antenna is a fishing pole with a transformer on the base (19+19 bifilar turns on an Amidon T200-2 core). It works without conterpoise but it is neccessary to use some meter of coaxial cable for better matching. Tuner is required.

  • I use a "prowhip" fishing pole antenna, 10M long with an un:un and a 10M couterpoise. Works great on my QRP setup. 73 DE Mike M0SAZ

  • i made an inverted V a 4:1 balun with a 10m fishing pole works very well when your high up on a hill or mountain, these fishing poles are brilliant ham antenna masts
