Great video. About the trellises, I see that you used t-posts and basically made the shape of an A inverted. How are they stuck in the ground? Is there a piece going into the ground from the point or are they all under tension with wire and stakes at the end of the row? Thanks for your help!!
@Welshliion It is likely that the canes are those of a primocane fruiting variety. Such canes will bear a small crop from buds at the top of the cane late in the first year of growth (primocanes), overwinter and bear a second crop on the buds lower down on the cane (now a floricane) during their second year. Thus there will buds on a cane that already fruited once, i.e. the primocane crop. After the floricane crop the cane will senesce and die.
Fantastic! Can't wait till fall to get the rows cleaned up! Too bad my extentions can't post nice videos like this or have publications as clear as this!!! (hello GA and TN!)
This was a wonderful video and very informative. I just wish I had seen this video last fall. Oh well, better late than never. Thank you.
