Test of Ruger Mini-14 and my new Canon Vixia HF10 camcorder

This is a test of a new rifle and new camera. Every young American man ought to have both of these items. Hehehe. This new Canon camera is wonderful. I really like the quality. And, hey, the Mini 14 is a great rifle (but I didn't need to videotape it to know that). The video was edited with Sony Vegas 9.0. Another great purchase (pretty much required if you want to edit the Canon's highly-compressed files).

All mini 14s come with 1inch scope rings when you buy them new but I think you culd contact ruger and see if they will send you a pair free or I know they sell them on their web site . But the best place to get them wuld be a gun show because you culd get them for a low price . Hope this helps . And by the way great video guys .

I like how you have the iron sights on it along with the optic. I thought you had to take the rear sight off to mount the scope??

I love the AR and i love the mini 14. The AR can only be taken to the range. The mini 14 can go anywhere with me. The decision is easy for me here in Canada, Mini 14, at least I can tromp around in the woods with a coyote license.
