  • This appearance in Houston may have been the pinnacle of Journey's live performance sound. Steve Perry never sounded better, IMHO. Effortless and so inventive. You could almost hear his soul flowing through this song. An amazing demonstration of power and feeling fused into blues and rock. It's like listening to a natural force - it just unfolds on its own as though it was destined to be that way. No struggling to be the amazing thing it is. Truly vocal gold.

  • Steve Perry is a freakin god!! Journey has sucked ever since he "left",his voice was what people identified Journey with.Journey never has been and will never be the same without him.

  • EPIC! Truly a tight band and an amazing vocal performance.

  • @windsofmarch

What an excellent comment. You have probably summed up Steve Perry's vocal prowess better than any other person on YouTube. For me "Winds of March" is the most underrated song by Journey and it baffles me why it has never featured on any Journey Greatest Hits compilation record/CD. An overlooked masterpiece.

  • Yessssss!!!!! ;))))

  • Amazing Steve sings like a sing God!

  • at 3:10 angels flew over Steve Perry's head.

  • @guise277 Yeah it's was truly unfortunate that Gregg left and then Ansley left or maybe Ansley left first,I can't remember but I will give alot of credit to Steve Smith he was a good choice to replace Ansley Steve is a very talented drummer.Never really liked Jonathan Cain I did'nt see a whole lot of passion or soul in his playing.NOBODY can touch Gregg Rolie on the Hammond B3 !..:)

  • @1963TNT The bands decline truly began with the departure of Gregg Rolie. To me, he was the heart and soul of the band.

  • @windsofmarch You speak the truth. Absolute. Thank you for believing in him as much as I do.

  • This is a great recording of this song. Thanks for sharing.

  • Just fantastic
