http://www.modernmindreader.com The old Ryman Auditorium was originally built by Captain Thomas G. Ryman to house the fiery evangelism of Samuel Porter Jones back in 1892.
In 1943 the Ryman found it's real calling to greatness by being the home of the original Grand Ole Opry. It was during this time that Bluegrass music was born right here in the Ryman Auditorium.
Not only has this great auditorium been the home to many of musics greatest stars... It is also said to be one of Nashville Tennessee's most haunted places.
One thing is for sure... The second I entered this building I was immediately with heavy feeling. There was a thickness in the air that made the place feel very crowded even though it was not.
As I sat down to watch the intro video for the tour, I sensed the presence of a man with a black dress coat and white button up shirt. I got a visual glimpse of this man as he was standing by a pole in the auditorium, What this the ghost of Ryman ... or the Spirit of Sam Jones?? The feeling of this presence seemed to stay with me as I explored the place. Almost to make sure I noticed him among the others.
Maybe I can return sometime and spend some more time finding out who this particular presence was...

@pastorrdh I'm not wanting to make you mad, but your post is incorrect. You should consider reading the Holy Bible. It does not state anywhere in it that when "we" die we go immediatly to heaven or hell,

Sorry to tell you, the "REV" as you call him, is not still lingering around watching over the congregation. That is not even consistent with the message that he preached. The Bibles teaches, "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord." Our spirit does not linger on this earth, but is immediately in heaven or hell, depending upon the decision to accept or deny Jesus Christ and follow Him while living.

That IS the original balcony; it just doesn't wrap around all the way to the backstage wall. It now stops at the proscenium wall in order to provide space for a back stage area...

I miss the wrap around Bal. That was our favorite place to sit for the opry. I remember when it was a dump. Still can't belive at one point they were going to tear it down.

you are allowed on stage for a photo op. that you have to purchase, of course. The Ryman is truly an amazing place, I loved it and felt so much of its history.

You talk about your feelings in the corridors and in the audience area but, were you allowed on stage? I took a tour there back in 1977 and that is where I felt the presence of who had performed there all those many years prior.
