The Zelgadis from the original series would never act like this. The writers of Revolution and Evolution-R flanderized the characters and story. The real Zel would get offended and seriously angry, or maybe even just sad and ashamed, but he would never run off crying like a fool. He's too proud to do that.

Let me ask you this - have you ever seen Vegeta act in such a way that a "too proud" person would not act? He wore a pink shirt and got laughed at, but Vegeta didn't blast them away or severely injure them.

Is it so wrong for anti-heroes to surprise us every now and again? Is Zelgadis singing karaoke also something he would be too proud to do?

@KokoronoShonen95 I am a fan of slayers has been miserie favorite for years until season try when I knew that they would derive two more seasons I get excited much but when I began to see I realized that these two new seasons paraecen not nothing like slayers, the character design was better before kicked the crap out Zelgadis's character is my favorite character the Zelgadis before was a thousand times better and had more prominence

Continued: So, accusing the writers of "flanderizing the characters and story" because of one scene(where they otherwise act consistently in-character throughout the show) is kinda ridiculous and makes me question if Hessnel watched actually watched the last two seasons.

All I'll say is---the guy was willing to dress in drag(twice!) and dressed as a bunny just to gain the Claire Bible. It has been a known staple of Slayers comedy that given Zel's serious and straightforward personality, he is the most exploited when it comes to humourous situations. That hasn't changed since NEXT and I don't see why Kanzaka and Watanabe would change that tradition. Besides, it's only ONE friggin scene (a comedic one, no less) where he acts this drastically OOC.
