I am a Hawkeye through and through, I can remember watching this game with my dad. I still hear him say to me, "God Damn, I hate that guy!" What a shot, what a game, never forget it!

This was one of the first games I ever went to, that place went nuts after that. One of my favorite memories.

If you pause right when Kaufman releases the ball, the clock reads .1. I have looked at this on quite a few separate occasions. He got it off in time.

This is actually really cool to watch for me because currently, he lives in my town and I know him. He has a daughter who plays basketball just as good as 7th graders. His niece is one of the best basketball players to play for us.

And he went on to be a amazing comedian and to star in the show Taxi???
Just kidding.... Jesus saves people.... God gives the Living Water to those who ask, read and finish the New Testament... we must WANT a new SPIRIT... instead of our own... and God will give Heaven within to all who read, fast and ask with persistence.

awesome! thought I'd never get to see this replay. I'm thinking about sending this link to my hawkeye friend.

Andy Kaufmann was not "held back ' by injuries. He was ruined by Lou Henson. What other coach would bench a player after minutes in a game where THAT game would set a record for illinois for consecutive scoring in double figures which Lou did because he didn't like Andy's offensive minded game, a mindset that was needed then for he was the ONLY option for scoring on the team.

@LegendaryTerrorist32 you can see pretty clearly at the end of this vid, when they show it in slow motion... the ball is out of his hands & airborn when the clock runs out
best pause i could do was at 0.2 sec, then again at 0.0 its gone

Kaufmann is one of the top 10 players ever in Illinois high school basketball. I witnessed it first hand for four years. He put up 40-50 points on teams without breaking a sweat. As pure a shooter as there ever was. Should have went to the next level but injuries held him back.
