@mcmxcad1975..... For me the best 3 bands of the 90s were (not in any order) Suede, the Auteurs and Super Furry Animals! I love bands that can transport you to another world and when Butler was in Suede they could do that!!!!

A great, great bunch of lads. The guitarist and drummer get a really marvellous sound. Great songs- they had real "melodies". Anderson's voice is A1.
Some of the live pieces are just great. Indeed, Suede were on a re-run of "Rockpalast" from a good few years ago (on one of the Sky channels) very late one Sunday night about three weeks ago .... out of this world, really, really good.
Music now- just doesn't seem to give you that searing thrill that this sound gives you. How did they do it ?

Saw them on this tour and it was the maddest crowd I have ever been in. Girls fainting (and a few boys), people rushing the stage. Trashy rock at it's finest; and then the released Dog Man Star .....

great with the without of today is thinking of great with no humm to go

@sadysady65 I'm sorry for that, but I always say you're only as old as you feel ;) Then again, I'm even more jealous because you've seen Jeff Buckley as well! I missed my chance to see Suede last year, but if they visit my country again I'll definitely go, as with the newly reunited Pulp.

@GreenFaez thank you for making me feel a hundred years old! I was in that crowd somewhere and they were fucking brilliant. Been banging on for years about it being possibly the best gig ever. Between this and jeff buckley. Now that they have re-formed (sort of - i still hanker after bernard) you have hopefully had the chance to see them. If not - get a ticket. They are still amazing live - brett is the ultimate frontman.

@mcmxcad1975 Possibly if it were not for Radiohead.

i love that brett loves to hold his fans hands

Honestly..... The Best Band of the 90's! Without Question!

Love it ! This was at Brixton Academy, London. I was there somewhere! Despite being a early 90s grunge kid, I was still up for a bit of camp gayness!!!!!!
