That's great to have so nice and working Operating System but what about applications? Every programmers and developers are focused on building new versions of Ubuntu like Kubuntu, Lubuntu. Xubuntu, Ubuntu Studio and many, many more. rather than taht they should focus on applications for Linux like Gimp (the project dying), KompoZer, and video editors and stuff. As a Web Developer I can't work with Linux be cause it's lack of applications. So I need to pay for Windows and Adobe a lot of money.

I love ubuntu. I don't see myself ever going back to Microsoft.

A lot of the notifications shown on the launcher in this video I do not have! File copy progress, for example. Is this supposed to be available in 12.04?

These videos should be recommended to a new user in a fresh Ubuntu install.

Following up; without a doubt there are things that are better suited for PS especially in a professional environment (e.g) desktop publishing pros(DTP) that need to output images intended for commercial printing. Taking that into consideration there are plugins that for GIMP that while not perfect give it great functionality. I love PS and use it daily at work and home but I will not buy a license for it when I know personally I can do just about everything In GIMP with out much issue.

    GIMP is dying? Since when?

Without getting into a huge back n' forth over this is PS really worth the $500 plus price tag it carries? I really thought it did until I gave GIMP a chance and actually learned the software(I mean learned it inside out). Are there features that GIMP is missing? YES but there are features in GIMP that PS doesn't have does that make GIMP better? NO. My point is if I can get 95%-100% of everything done in GIMP why should I pay $500 plus dollars?

Understandable, but because it's not a usability issue, here we are again to my first reply: it's not a priority.

Transmission is simple and great, i don't think we need another torrent client.
