Hi =).
As part of my server modifications project, I made this binary HDD indicator - Completely from scratch :)

The idea was originally to just have one LED per hdd from the Adaptec 2610SA sata raid card - But after a lengthy conversation with my flatmate, I decided to represent hdd usage in Binary :)

The front case material was 3mm Aluminium, and then there was a second skin behind that which was your standard SECC 2mm case steel. This caused headache after headache with cutting it -_-'

The panel was cut from a 5 to 3 inch SCSI converter bay & features
18 Chrome 5mm LED Bezels
18 5mm 7000MCD Blue LED's
2metres of wire
And a lot of stress :)

But the end result was worth it :)

More info on the project (i'm secretly proud of it ;p)
