CCPM function is built-in in model 0406A. This is useful for helis but makes flying with FMS-simulator almost impossible. You can't also use transmitter for aeroplane flying unless you disable this feature.

note: older transmitters don't have all the pins at microcontroller wired. My transmitter is rev. 06 and rev. 04 didn't have these dipswitches. Revision number can be found from pcb under the case.

I found a solution to this problem from some web page, I'll share it with you now.

  • Does this Work with a 4 channel transmitter :O?

  • @aaggrreessiivvee7 My 4 channel E-sky transmitter didn't have those switches at all. You should give it a try if yours has those switches. Otherwise I don't think there are any easy ways to make it non-CCPM.

  • My new esky 2.4ghz transmitter does not have a crystal to remove, and it only has 2 switches behind the batteries. I can't get it to be recognized by the computer. Any ideas?

  • Crystal removal is important for transmitters with crystals. 2.4GHz systems bind to their own receivers and don't work directly with other receivers so there isn't a big chance your transmitter might interfere with some other transmitters nearby. In short: don't worry about crystal-thing.

Are you trying to connect to computer with usb-cable? I have had success with selfmade cable plugged between transmitter and computer soundcards line input. Cable has two pins connected to mono jack.

Thanks for asking. Your video did help me disable ccpm, even though my tx is slightly different in the back, I still had to switch the 2 switches that were present behind the batteries. Thanks a lot! Very helpful video!

  • You're welcome. Glad you got things sorted. Happy flying and learning.

  • @retkimora It turns out that the first 4, yes 4, usb ports that I tried on my machine did not work. It only worked when I plugged the transmitter usb cable into a usb hub that had 3 other random devices plugged into it. Go figure!! I'm guessing it is a cheap cable with limited driver support that needed just the right connection to work. Now I'm up and running and getting better by the hour (I'm a newb at flying).

  • I don't think I have a crystal in my transmitter, but I have solved my problem!

Yes, I was trying to connect to pc with a usb cable I got on ebay specifically for my brand (esky) transmitters.

  • If I remember right it is the second switch you need to flip. I don't remember my original settings anymore, haven't touched the transmitter lately. Experiment with servos or usb data cable to see if everything is like you want. Don't try it first with a plane or heli. If you try, remove propeller or contact with main gear so blades don't spin when motor spins.

  • Watched the video and understand that the switches must be changed but which switches??

    1-up 2 down? 1&2 down? 1&2 up???
