Ben Harper covers My Father's House at the 2009 Kennedy Center Honors, honoring Brice Springsteen. One of the best covers of a Bruce song I've heard!

  • anyone else notice that bruce springsteen had ben harper singing my fathers house jennifer nettles singing glory days then ben and jen singing im on fire, eddie vedder sang my city of ruins, john mellencamp sang born in the usa, melissa ethridge sang born to run, sting sang the rising and he also had ron kovic talk about him, not to mention the awesome into by jon stewart! im sure bruce has.had the most people pay him tribute at this kennedy center honors and he deserved each of them!!

  • Ben Harper understood that the essence of Bruce is Nebraska much more than others album... Anyway all of Bruce album are a masterpiece for the music history. Truly a thank to have written these fabolous histories of the youth of everybody

  • I'm glad that someone played something from Bruce's finest album, Nebraska at this shindig.

  • THAT was awesome. I have renewed respect for this man, and for that song, and for slide guitar. Just incredible.

  • I live in Freehold, Bruce comes to the town parades like a regular guy, standing on sidewalk blending in. He is a great source of hometown pride. Obviously.
