"You Stepped Out Of A Dream" was written in 1940 with music by Nacio Herb Brown and lyrics by Gus Kahn. The following year the song was featured in the film "Ziegfield Girl" where it was introduced by singer Tony Martin using an iconic image of Lana Turner as a backdrop. The song has always been associated with Lana ever since. On January 11, 1952, Nat recorded it with Nelson Riddle arranging and conducting the orchestra.
