wow, I have been trying to figure this out for a good hour and all the tutorials I found stopped after describing how to make blend shapes, no mention of animating. What's more, they all had the most annoying voices, whiny and/or droning voices, but not you.
Finally I have an animated cube.
Thank you so much.

Yeah, There are a lot of tutorials on youtube that kind of leave you hanging.
Well, I'm glad this one helped you out. Take it easy.

Awesome tutorial, sir! your scope, pace and vid quality are awesome. I have a question though; as soon as I create Blend Shape, can I delete the other objects (deformed duplicates) right away or do I have to just let them sit there? I'll be waiting for your other tuts. Keep Rockin'!!!

I don't think you can delete them. What I do is create a Layer, and put the blend shapes in that layer, and turn the visibility of that layer off. That way if you need to, you can come back and edit them.
Well, take it easy.

If anyone (especially the owner of this video knows), could someone explain to me why my blendshape (original base) is moving towards the other two odd copies instead of just moving like it's supposed to?

Make sure you freeze the transformations before you create a blendshape, that might fix the problem. If that doesn't work, group the target shapes together before you make the blend shape.
I have had that problem before, but I cant remember exactly what I did to fix it. Hope this helps, man.
